Our snails are bush snails (wild-harvested), and within a single pack, there can be natural variation. Different species can be present, and what each snail fed on in the bush can influence its natural aroma.

Because of this, some snails may have a stronger smell than others -even within the same batch. This might not always be noticeable when buying live snails, but it can be more pronounced after processing and freezing, when the natural aroma is released on thawing.
This is not a sign of spoilage, but a normal characteristic of the product. Once properly cooked, the flavour is what our customers know and enjoy.

We carefully inspect every batch we receive and only sell what meets our quality standards.

The snails! Packaging - excellent. Delivery - excellent. Flavour - chef’s kiss!!! The first time, in Canada, that the claim of “wild caught snails” turned out to be true. My to-die-for peppered snails are back in rotation.

No complaints at all! Very fresh and cleaned of slime. was not rotten before it was frozen and the delivery was headache free! I am definitely ordering again.
